How To Draw A Watermelon Slice

This short and easy tutorial shows how to depict a water melon slice in four steps. It provides illustrated example forth with cartoon and coloring tips.

Step one – Draw the Outline of the Piece

Outset by cartoon the outline of the watermelon piece with lite pencil lines. In this case it will be drawn in 3/4 view then one side of the outer skin will be visible.

The overall shape of the piece should exist close to a half oval.

Step two – Depict the Rind

Again in pencil draw the rind by making a curved line that pretty much follows the shape of the slice.

Stride 3 – Draw the Seeds & Finish the Line Cartoon

Add the seeds as in a way where all of them combined form a curve similar to the rind. Draw them a good distance away from the rind itself and likewise don't draw any too shut to the top/eye of the slice. Too try and depict the seeds in a style where their tips point towards the middle of the slice.

Same as the previous steps apply a pencil to describe the seeds.

Once done with the line drawing of the entire slice go over it with either darker pencil lines or a black pen/marker.

Color the watermelon slice past making the flesh crimson, the rind a light yellow/green, the outer skin a dark green and the seeds a dark brown. Inside of each seed leave a tiny white area for the highlight. This volition make them await wet and shiny as watermelon seeds tend to exist.
